They asked the couple to tell them about their dream of embarking on an adventure. In this, precisely, they were not lying. The adventure is that of finding yourself without a honeymoon, some even new arrivals at destination “that they have no means of paying for the return flight or that they cannot afford to pay for hotels there.” This is what Alba Perera, one of the people involved in the alleged travel agency, tells laSexta. In fact, Alba is getting married in March, but this Tuesday she discovered that everything planned for her trip to Bali and Japan, an amount of 8,600 euroshas disappeared and the reserves “say they are not under contract,” he goes on to explain. What’s more, he says, they realized “that these were reservations canceled for non-payment or that they didn’t exist at all.”
At the moment, there is already two arrests: the manager and his partner, also linked to the company. The fraud could exceed 200,000 euros because like Perera, there are 150 other people. Everyone trusts this agency which boasts 25 years of experience in the sector. However, and according to the Commercial Association of Travel Agencies of Seville, since 2022 this company does not appear in the tourism register of the Junta de Andalucía, therefore it has been committing professional intrusion for two years.
Alba remembers her modus operandi in this company. “The person is in question he asked us for money and he was telling us that if you give 1,000 euros now, we can reduce the total by 400 because there was an offer of bonuses, of flights, and we can reduce it. » Now without a honeymoon, the person concerned regrets that it is not about money, mainly about “savings”, but also a question of “illusion”.
