The significance of Formula 1 in Baku: what do these events promise for the country?

An important event is the holding in our country of the “Formula 1” race, one of the most popular motor sports in the world.

The fact that cars drive through the “Icherisheher” Historical-Architectural Reserve, which is the oldest part of the city and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, supports the role of the capital as a center of economic, political, humanitarian, sports and military events and forms a positive image.

According to political scientist Sahil Karimli, holding such competitions in the capital is important for fully and correctly conveying Azerbaijan’s truths to the world community:

“At the same time, the hospitality of our country and the professionalism of these events are presented to the world as an example.”

MP Vugar Bayramov noted that the organization of such competitions in the country serves to attract new investments and increase turnover in the service and tourism sector:

“The agreements reached will allow the country to attract more investments in the non-oil sector” in the coming period.

The eyes of the whole world are now focused on Baku. The holding of such a popular race as Formula 1 in our capital is a confirmation of Azerbaijan’s attention to sport and that this mission has always been justified in our country.
