The situation in Afghanistan is stabilizing, but risks associated with drug trafficking and the activity of terrorist organizations remain. This was stated by the organization’s secretary general, Imangali Tasmagambetov, at the CSTO summit in Astana.
“The length of the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan is 1,400 kilometers. “It mainly passes through inaccessible mountainous terrain,” – recalled the Secretary General.
He noted the importance of adopting a program to strengthen the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
“The program is of exceptional importance. And above all for the security of the countries of Central Asia.” – Tasmagambetov explained.
