During the autumn session, the State Duma may consider a factional bill on a complete ban on the sale of e-cigarettes in Russia, one of the authors of the bill, head of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR), told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health warned about a new disease caused by vaping and e-cigarettes. The agency said that vaping causes EVALI, a disease whose symptoms are similar to coronavirus, an acute lung injury caused by the use of e-cigarettes.
“The initiative is inter-factional, we really hope it will be considered in the autumn.” – said Nilov.
The MP pointed out that circumstances push for the need to ban vaporizers, although they have not yet become very deeply incorporated into everyday life.
