Carlos Sainz has been cautioned for blocking his opponent during the second free practice session of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Oku.Az The Ferrari driver is reported to have blocked Red Bull driver Sergio Perez from setting a fastest lap at Turn 13.
The Grand Prix stewards analysed the incident after the session and determined that the team did not warn Sainz of the Red Bull driver’s approach, but Carlos was distracted by the notifications on the steering wheel screen, so he underestimated the speed of the approach and was in no hurry to give way to Perez.
The stewards, taking into account all the camera recordings in their possession and the explanations from the other side, were content to announce a warning to Sains.
