Perhaps because I never felt represented in the famous hero’s journey story, the one that is constantly taught in film and writing schools, and which focuses on the individualistic epic and conflict to resolve, I have always tended to focus on those. other marginal stories, silent, unnoticed, full of losses and failures, of interactions with others and with a world from which we do not always learn valuable lessons, but sometimes it simply turns its back on us and makes us feel lost.
Where do the untold stories go? All these other stories that have been pushed out of the construction of our own history and the creation of our identity; those who were relegated, hidden, as if they had never existed. Because, believe it or not, we are made of stories: people, communities, countries, the world, everything. And our lives are built around them.
