The apatite mining and processing plant was founded in 1929 on the basis of the richest deposit of apatite-nepheline minerals in the Khibiny Mountains. The construction of the mine and processing plant was carried out in the most difficult climatic conditions thanks to the dedicated work of tens of thousands of people. In previous years, the Apatit plant twice won major state awards, including the Order of Lenin and the Order of the October Revolution. The management of the PhosAgro group decided to pay a bonus of 30 thousand rubles to each employee of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC and other divisions of the group operating in Kirovsk and Apatity, as well as to veterans of the company. Employees and veterans of PhosAgro group companies working in other cities received a bonus of 20 thousand rubles.
