The story of violence after the disappearance of Luis Eduardo, the 2-year-old son of singer Lowe León

The story of Luis Eduardothe child of alone 2 years who was missing for five days after his trace was lost in the Valencian city of Béterahides a background of violence and alleged mistreatment which goes beyond the idyllic image that his family conveyed.

Luis Eduardo’s father is Leon Lowea well-known Colombian singer and producer who currently resides in the Valencian Community. The artist will be judged in Valencia on next November 14 for the complaint for gender violence filed by his ex-partner and mother of the minor, the prestigious lawyer of Colombian origin Liceth Cordoba.

Leon faces 4 years in prison. The Colombian singer will now stand trial after being arrested last August in Bétera for allegations of mistreatment and coercion of his ex-wife.

Apparently, León held the child’s mother for an hour in the room and forced her not to take him to Colombia with his family.

In addition, he is accused of having dragged his partner by the hair and of having caused her a situation of anxiety and terror due to the isolation to which the complainant was subjected. But the singer she continues to deny these facts and that he mistreated her.

This was confirmed to EL ESPAÑOL by judicial sources after learning that the child is currently in Colombia with his mother, after hastily leaving Spain out of fear for his life.

“She arrived in Spain with the child, they were a normal couple, but he started to get out of control and the abuse started. That’s when the woman filed a complaint of abuse and he left voluntarily the family home,” Liceth’s lawyer said in statements to this newspaper, Borja Signs.

Shortly after the arrest, Luis Eduardo’s mother published a message on her social networks in which she revealed the stormy relationship she was experiencing in this Valencian city.

“Those who know me know perfectly well that I have dedicated myself to motherhood and the education of my son, and I have tried to keep these issues away from social networks and public opinion, but today Today I consider it necessary to communicate through this medium, because communication with Lowe is reasonably impossible. He made it clear to me that he did not want to let me take my child out of Spain without litigation.” Liceth wrote on his Instagram profile on August 29.

The disappearance of Luis Enrique went viral a few days ago after the National Center for the Missingorganism dependent on Home Officealerted through its social networks of the disappearance of the minor, last seen in Bétera, with a description of his physical characteristics and his image.

His photographs have gone around the world. The institution encouraged anyone from Bétera or the province of Valencia who could provide relevant information to contact the authorities, as the child was only 2 years old.

Lowe León reported the disappearance to the Civil Guard without informing agents of the history of gender violence reported by the child’s mother and other partners he had while living in Colombia.

After verifying the circumstances in which the disappearance of Luis Eduardo occurred, The Civil Guard deactivated the alert. Officers confirmed he had been located in his home country with his mother and custody proceedings were underway.

“I can’t take it anymore”

Liceth Córdoba is a young lawyer expert in criminology and criminal matters. In 2021 She married the controversial Colombian artist, and from this relationship, Luis Eduardo was born.

Before taking the plane to Colombia and disappearing with her son, Liceth recounted on her social networks her experience as the singer’s companion.

“I can’t take it anymore. I say this because I don’t know what else to do.. I want to go back to Colombia with my son, but Lowe won’t let me. “It’s not all your fault, I take responsibility for not setting my limits and I know that there are women who surely experience the same thing from day to day.”

According to his testimony, “despite all the efforts made to return to Colombia get my life back, my job as a prosecutorthat I love so much, living happily with my son; Lowe won’t allow me to take my son out of Spain. “My son is everything to me and he cannot be far from his mother and his family who are in Colombia.”

My desire has always been to have a healthy and happy home. -he continued-, that’s what Lowe promised me and that’s why I agreed to come back to him. But it can’t work if on Monday he tells me that I’m everything to him, but on Tuesday he tells me that he can’t stand me anymore, that I’m worth nothing…”

According to the ex-wife, the singer isolated her from her environment, a pattern that is repeated in cases of gender violence.

You were comfortable with the way I pleased you and you thought being away from my support networkmy job and who I am as a woman, I would be weaker. I tried to run away. But if you look for me in those moments when I’m vulnerable, it makes me feel like I’m the one who was insufficient and that I’m the one to blame. You’ve once again got me excited that everything is going to change, but the cycle repeats itself. I can’t. I can’t live in the illusion that one day you will change“, he explained.

In this same message, Liceth Córdoba asked her ex-partner to let her return peacefully and safely to Colombia with the minor.

“I want to rebuild my life. So that your child can enjoy not only a mom and dad, but from parents who live in harmony to be able to transmit thisbecause we can only give with what we have.”

According to the woman’s lawyer, Lowe León was informed of the return trip that his ex-partner was going to undertake and, despite this, he reported the disappearance of Luis Eduardo to allegedly put more pressure on the mother.

“All relevant procedures were filed and the Spanish authorities informed the mother that, thanks to the existing agreement between Spain and Colombia, the minor could travel,” said lawyer Borja Signes.

From there, the mother “takes a plane and notifies the father by email”. In this sense, the Valencian lawyer clarified that the father “I was warned at all times and when the mother lands, she posts a photo on social media and knows where the child is.”

On November 14, Liceth Córdoba will return to Spain to attend the trial and ratify in court the complaint that motivated her and her son to flee the country.
