The Town Hall launches the Municipal Office of Projects and Investment Attraction “Valladolid Now”

This Tuesday, Valladolid City Hall launched the Office of Municipal Projects and Investment Attraction “Valladolid Now”, a new urban project which results in tool to attract investments, businesses and talentsas reported by the Consistory.

Thanks to the CEOE and Cepyme network, he added, “they will be able to connect with companies throughout the national territory that seek to expand their activity in a favorable environment like that of Valladolid.” De Miguel also highlighted the relevance of public-private collaboration in the success of this project.

Caramanzana went further by asserting that “‘Valladolid Now’ will attract capital, but also It will be a magnet for innovation, talent and employment.as well as a lever to strengthen our capacity as a city to be competitive on a global scale. As a Chamber of Commerce, he said, they will bring all their “experience and knowledge” to the processes of internationalization of companies and the promotion of new commercial relations with strategic markets.

The new Office will be located within the Innovation and Economic Development Agency of Valladolid (IdeVa) and will have other departments made available by the CEOE and the Chamber. Among its main functions is the attraction of new businesses which “contribute to the enrichment of the local productive fabric, by strengthening the labor market and promoting the retention and loyalty of talent”.

“Valladolid now” has 225,000 euros in 2024 and a total investment of 450,000 euros over the first two years of operation. A budget which left room for “key actions” for its implementation and which will make it possible to develop an action plan for its launch, its management and the attraction of new investors.

Diagnosis

One of the pillars of the Office consists of the preparation of a socio-economic and urban diagnosis of Valladolidwhich collects information on infrastructure, environmental requirements, available land, employment profiles, city services and all aspects essential for the knowledge of potential investors. This study, which will be updated every year, constitutes the basis of a file which proposes and presents Valladolid as an attractive city for investment.
