The Town Hall of Torrent, Aigües de L’Horta and the Red Cross launch the OLA project for professional placement

Under the acronyms “Occupation”, “Leadership” and “Accompaniment”, the OLA Project It begins in the municipality of Torrent under the coordination of the City Council, the Red Cross and Aigües de L’Horta, which will allocate a total of 15,975 euros. This program is intended to promote the employability of beneficiaries of the Social Enterprise Fund in the municipality.

The objective of the OLA project is to empower people in vulnerable situations to help them enter the job market; as well as the transfer of the necessary knowledge to participants so that they can gain autonomy and be able to define their own life project.

The OLA program considers the different phases of support for the person in a situation of unemploymentThe project is based on an initial diagnosis of the situation concerning the employability and basic needs of each participant.

From there, the program includes career guidance actions, training capsules to improve basic skills, technical and specific training, intermediation, professional prospecting and support for the interview, with coverage of basic needs and an impact evaluation to know the changes generated by participation in the interview program.

This initiative is aimed at people of working age who are beneficiaries of the Social Fund Social Rate or another type of bonus for paying the water bill. They carry out both technical and basic training to acquire transversal skills, languages, ICT and other courses.

Francisco Bartual, director of Aigües de L’Horta explains that “the launch of the OLA project, with the support of the Torrent City Council and the collaboration of the Red Cross, allows us to offer the possibility of accessing decent employment to achieve a better economic and social situation through employment.

Currently, OLA projects have been launched with a total of 53 participants, in Valencian Communitymore specifically, in the municipalities of Alicante and Torrevieja; highlighting 100% loyalty to Alicante; and 89% to Torrevieja.
