The Spanish Treasury will hold the last auction of September this Thursday, which will be for government bonds and bonds and, in addition, will be the first carried out by the organization after the European Central Bank (ECB) again reduced interest rates to 25 basis points.
The said auction will also take place a day after learning of the monetary policy decision of the American Federal Reserve (Fed)which should also reduce the price of silver.
In this context of generalized cuts interest rates, the profitability offered by the Treasury on its debt, in particular that of the effects, has decreased reducing little by little.
This has also caused this type of debt to record a decline in demand from individual investorswhich, however, and according to the latest data from the Bank of Spain, accumulated in June a investment of 27.320 million euros in invoices.
At the last auction organized by the Treasury, last Tuesday, The organization invested 2.133 million euros in three- and nine-month bonds, although at a lower interest rate and, in the case of the former, Spain paid investors a yield of less than 3%.
The three-month invoices were assigned to a marginal interest of 2.860%, lower than the previous 3.215%, and its lowest level since March 2023.
For its part, for nine-month invoices, Spain paid an interest of 3.027%, also lower than August’s 3,150% and the lowest since April last year.
Retail investor demand reached 398 millionwell below the 1,549 million euros recorded during the first offer in September, for six and twelve month bonds.
According to Treasury data, in Thursday’s offer, the organization will offer investors bonds for seven and twenty yearsand other bonds with a residual term of four years and one month.
