The Treasury transfers 1.243 million to Galicia in September for the updating of deliveries of the 2024 account

Payment of installments for deliveries is made monthly, through two entrances to the communities and autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla: one at the beginning of the month and another at the end of the month. According to the Treasury, given the situation of budget extension, with the updating decree approved by the Government, communities will be able to receive in 2024 the resources that correspond to the tax revenue forecasts for this year, instead of those that were taken into account. prepare the 2023 budget.

In the case of Galicia The update means receiving 9.374 million euros in deposits, which is 586 million euros more for this concept than last year, an increase of 6.7%.

In total, in 2024, the communities and cities of Ceuta and Melilla will receive more than 154.258 million payments from the common regime financing system (updated 2024 installments and 2022 settlement), which represents an increase of almost 20 billion (15%) of the 134.484 million received in 2023 and constitutes the highest figure in the historical series.

In the case of Galicia, next year it will receive the largest installments in its history with 10.262 million euros, or 9.5% more than in 2024. 888 million more for this notion. In total, including the 2023 settlement, Galicia will receive 10,857.5 million euros from the financing system next year.

The Treasury thus underlines that, in seven years of the government of Pedro Sánchez, Galicia will have received 40% more resources that during the seven years of Mariano Rajoy’s presidency, some 18,317.7 million euros more.
