The two women you report as possible victims of a case of harassment at Algeciras Town Hall categorically denied that the mayor, José Ignacio Landaluce, acted dishonestly with them.
The two members of the Landaluce team sent a statement in which they accuse the agitator and the MEP Alvise Pérez to be at the origin of the complaint concerning an affair which they deny never took place.
The two women – Eva Pajares and Susana Pérez – were categorical: it is a “lie”. Never, they add, has there been such a case of harassment. Pajares directly refers to Alvise Pérez, whom he accuses of having propagated the hoax.
“I want to express without reservation my indignation and surprise and express my absolute support for integrity and professionalism of the mayor“adds this Landaluce collaborator.
Pajares emphasizes that the dissemination of this hoax about possible harassment on the part of the mayor of Algeciras has “with the sole aim of harming hardworking and honest people who, in a committed manner, work day after day by thousands of neighbors. “Not everything happens in politics.”
“Indignation”
His partner, Pérez Custodio, is of the same opinion: “I want to express my absolute indignation for the information disseminated. This situation was generated without foundation and with the sole objective of harming our reputation and that of the entire government team, as well as the image of the municipality,” he indicates.
This second municipal councilor also underlines her “categorical rejection of the distortion and the media circus which is created around fake news“.
It should be remembered that the PP had activated the protocol provided for this type of case, but the national president of the party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, had indicated that the matter was not moving forward.
The PSOE, for its part, was divided this Tuesday between the caution of the Andalusian secretary general, Juan Espadaswho asked for caution in the face of accusations and a thorough investigation, and his colleagues in Algeciras, who assured that they would ask for resignations.
