This morning, agents of the National Police dismantled two important “narco apartments” located in the Madrid’s Usera neighborhoodmore precisely in the Orcasitas district, an operation which resulted in two arrests, the Madrid police headquarters reported this Friday in a press release.
The investigation began last July, after officers detected a significant movement of people near both houseswhich are located door to door, a circumstance which has made it easier for them to function as one.
Police investigations revealed that these houses, located on the ground floor of Plaza de la Solidaridadwere used as drug distribution points, supplying this substance to users in the area.
For these reasons, the police carried out this Thursday the entry and search of the two drug apartments, in which they intervened regarding 800 grams of cocaine, ten scales, two short firearms, ammunition, more than 600,000 euros in cash and two vehicles.
As a result, two people were arrested, a man and a woman, apparently brothers, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health and another for illegal possession of weapons, and were transferred to the Usera-Villaverde departmental police station, while waiting for him to be brought to justice.
