At night, the Russian occupiers attacked the Ukrainian city of Ternopil. Separately, an attack on energy infrastructure occurred with the help of kamikaze drones. This caused a partial interruption of the supply of electricity, water and heating in the city. Restoration work is currently underway and heating points have been organized for residents. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Nadal.
Nighttime kamikaze drone attacks caused major disruptions to the city’s infrastructure. The airstrike lasted about five hours and caused a blackout of power and other life support systems. Ternopil continues to recover after a massive strike. Public services and city authorities are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation and return residents to their usual rhythm of life.
Situation with public services.
- Electricity supply: Energy workers are gradually restoring power. However, for now the elevators will not work in multi-story buildings to avoid breakdowns.
- Water supply: Public services have already begun to restore centralized water supply. Water pressure may be reduced, but full water supply will resume at 7:00 a.m. The city is running generators to keep systems running.
- Heat supply: Most boiler rooms operate as usual. If necessary, they will also be connected to generators. Individual heating points are temporarily switched off and heat is supplied directly to the houses.
- Gas supply: Gas supply remains normal.
Work of institutions
- Schools and nurseries: All educational institutions are functioning as usual. Where there is no electricity, generators are used.
- medical institutions: Continue working without interruption. If necessary, backup power supplies are used.
Trolleybuses are temporarily out of service. Buses, including large ones, have resumed their routes. Additionally, in some areas of the city the traffic lights do not work and the police have to physically regulate traffic.
