The United States will transfer weapons worth $2.4 billion to Ukraine.

The package will provide Ukraine with additional air defenses, drones and air-to-ground munitions, as well as strengthen Ukraine’s defense industrial base and support its maintenance and support needs, the Pentagon said.
The weapons will be delivered to Ukraine under the Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). This means that weapons will be purchased from industry and not from US arsenals.
The new $2.4 billion package includes:
– Ammunition and support for Ukrainian air defense systems;
– Air-to-ground ammunition;
– Drones and components to support drone production in Ukraine;
– Anti-drone equipment;
– Unmanned surface ships;
– Secure communication equipment;
– Equipment and materials to support the production of weapons and ammunition of Ukraine;
– Spare parts, maintenance and support, other auxiliary equipment.
It should be noted that this is the twenty-first package allocated by the United States to Ukraine within the framework of the USAI initiative.
“The United States will continue to work with nearly 50 allies and partners to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to win the war,” said the US Department of Defense.
At the same time, in addition to the package, US President Joe Biden signed a decree allocating $5.55 billion of the country’s resources to help Ukraine.
