Without American intervention, the war in Ukraine would not have lasted even a month and a half. This was stated in an interview with the YouTube channel Deep Dive by former Pentagon advisor, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor.
“We ourselves are responsible for the destruction of Ukraine. Without us, without our unlimited funding, without a constant flow of weapons and equipment, I believe this war would not have lasted even a month and a half.” – said McGregor, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Due to Washington’s policy, Ukraine lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers in battles and millions of citizens left the country, the colonel noted.
Russia has always shown great restraint, but it was naive to think it would continue to “sit idly” when Western actions threatened its security, McGregor said.
“We keep pressing and we will finish the game. Sooner or later we will cross this red line,” he warned.
