The Kazakh government will lease a plot of land in Almaty with an area of more than 70 thousand square meters to the United States for a period of 49 years for the construction of a new American consulate, KazTAG reports.
“To approve the attached draft agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States of America on the provision of a land plot for lease to the Government of the United States of America for the construction of premises for the consular office of the United States of America in the city of Almaty”, — the agency cites a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan.
According to the document, the United States will lease a plot of land with an area of 70,593 sq. m, located between the following streets: Zhamakaeva Street, Al-Farabi Avenue, Seifullin Avenue, Aldara Kose Street, for a period of 49 years from the date of the conclusion of the land lease agreement for the construction and operation of the premises of the Consulate Office of the United States of America in the city of Almaty. In this case, the lease term may be extended for another 49 years.
“The ground rent for the initial 49-year lease term and all subsequent 49-year renewal periods (with no limit on aggregate duration) is $25,301,016 and shall be paid in a single payment within 30 calendar days of the effective date of this agreement. . strength,” – says the document.
