The University of Alcalá approves the nomination of King Felipe VI as an honorary doctor

The faculty of the University of Alcalá (UAH) approved this Monday the appointment of the King Felipe VI as honorary doctoras reported in a press release. The Department of Legal Sciences, promoter of the initiative, underlines the close link of the Monarch with the institution and his commitment to human rights, culture and research.

The proposal highlights the work carried out by Felipe VI in the “promotion and recognition of culture and scientific knowledge”. This distinction is added to the academic program of Felipe VI, which includes a law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a master’s degree in international relations from the Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University (Washington DC).
