US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on social media that he had held a conversation with the new Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga.
“I spoke with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrey Sibiga. He is a long-standing partner and I am confident that we will continue the fruitful work and close cooperation initiated by his predecessor. I look forward to meeting him in person in the coming weeks.” – Blinken wrote on his page.
In turn, Sibiga confirmed the fact of the conversation.
“We discussed ways to speed up the delivery of military aid, implement a peace formula and strengthen sanctions against Russia.” — wrote Sibiga on the social network X.
Earlier, the Ukrainian parliament supported the appointment of Sibiga to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine instead of the dismissed one. Dmitry Kuleba.
