The use of Georgian drones on the border with Abkhazia was discussed in the Russian Foreign Ministry

On the eve of the next round of Geneva talks on security and stability in the Transcaucasus, a meeting was held between the Deputy Foreign Minister of Abkhazia, the head of the Abkhazian delegation to the 62nd round of talks, Odysseus Bigvava, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Mikhail Galuzin.

“In the context of combating provocations from the Georgian side, in particular after the discovery of an unmanned aerial vehicle near the village of Bgura, Gal region, on October 16, Odysseus Bigvava presented proposals from the Abkhaz side on the possible resumption of the work of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (MIPR) in the city of Gal. During the meeting, the parties agreed on positions on key issues of the next round and also discussed issues of regional security and the international situation in general.” — said in a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

Mikhail Galuzin thanked the Abkhaz side for its support in the special military operation and the provision of humanitarian assistance to the DPR, LPR, Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kursk regions.

The 62nd round of discussions is scheduled for November 5 and 6.
