The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, said that “the Valencia tragedy changed our culture when it comes to emergencies” and asked that “Let’s all learn to politely follow the instructions of technical experts and “those who politically coordinate, with criteria, the management of everyone’s resources”

The mayor of the Andalusian city most affected by DANA published several messages on social networks, collected by Europa Press, in which he highlighted that the extension of the red warning due to rain in Malaga “requires us to remain cautious during the next few hours“. In addition, he considered that the coordination between the administrations responsible for managing the emergency “has been exemplary: it should always be like this”.

De la Torre also thanked “everyone who worked hard throughout the day to preserve the safety of Malaga residentss”.
