The incidents experienced this Sunday in the Valencian city of Paiporta They expressed strong dissatisfaction with those responsible for handling the DANA tragedy. In this context, the latest Sociometrica survey for EL ESPAÑOL reveals that citizens are suspending the action of politicians.
The Spaniards in general and the Valencians in particular suspend the president of the government, Pedro Sanchez; to the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazonand the ministers Fernando Grande Marlaska (Inside) and Marguerite Robles (Defense).

The least appreciated of all is the president of the government. The Valencians give Sanchez a score of 2.6, a figure that drops even further, to 2.4, when asked of all Spaniards. By party, only voters from left-wing parties approve of Sánchez’s management, although very slightly.

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazonobtains 2.5 from Spaniards and only 3 from inhabitants of the Valencian Community for its management of the crisis. Although he obtains a better average score than Sánchez, Mazón is the only leader in the survey who receives a failure from voters of all parties, including his own.
At the national level, PP voters are also disappointed with Mazón’s management but they penalize him less and give him a score of 3.9. Of course, PSOE (1.7) or Podemos (0.2) voters are much more severe in their assessment.
With better grades, even if they also failed, are Marlaška (3.6 among the Valencians) and Marguerite Robles (3.2). In the investigation, the only authorities who approve are Felipe VI and Letizia, although they are also the only ones who do not have executive functions.

The study was carried out by the company SocioMétrica between November 3 and 4, 2024 through 1,712 random interviews extracted from its own panel of n=10,000 individuals representative of all Spanish socio-demographic segments.
The final results were finely adjusted using a weighting variable that takes into account gender, age, province and electoral memory during the last three elections.
Maximum error: 3% (SocioMétrica’s average deviation in voting in gen23 was 1.1% and in eu24 was 0.8%). No confidence level is applicable as this is non-probability sampling.
