A delegation consisting of diplomats accredited to Azerbaijan, including military attachés and heads of international organizations, arrived in the village of Sugovushan in the Aghdara region.
The “Report” reports that more than 60 diplomats, including 20 ambassadors, are taking part in the visit, accompanied by Hikmet Hajiyev, aide to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the presidential administration.
During the visit, diplomats and military attachés had the opportunity to learn about the restoration and reconstruction projects implemented in Sugovushan.
The delegation visited major infrastructure facilities, including the Sugovushan and Sarsang reservoirs, as well as the Yukhari Vang hydroelectric power station, which plays an important role in the recovery of the economy of the liberated territories and energy supply.
The visit of the diplomatic corps representatives allowed to assess the scope of the work carried out and the future prospects of the region, as well as the efforts of our country in the direction of ensuring sustainable development and peaceful integration of the lands liberated from occupation.
On September 18, the visit to Kalbajar by embassies accredited in Azerbaijan, heads of international organizations and military attachés will begin.
The “Report” reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, will accompany the delegation on the trip.
As is known, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev On September 2 this year, during his upcoming visit to Kalbajar region, he participated in the opening ceremonies of important transport and infrastructure projects and catering services in the city of Kalbajar. This visit will take place immediately after a high-level visit by the top management.
During the visit, foreign guests will visit Sugovushan and Sarsang water reservoirs, Yukhari Vang hydroelectric power station, newly built residential buildings in Kalbajar, Istisu secondary school and mineral water plant, as well as other areas.
It should be noted that visits of representatives of the diplomatic corps to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan are organized periodically and this is one of the traditional visits.
