The volume of remittances to Georgia for 10 months of 2024 decreased by 20.2% and amounted to 2.8 billion dollars.
Russia continues to be the leader in the amount of money sent to the country. Around 487.7 million dollars came from the neighboring country, 17.3% of the total volume of transfers.
The amount of transfers from Russia amounted to $487.1 million, a decrease of 64.6%.
Italy is in second place in terms of transfer volume with $469.7 million, a decrease of 10.2%.
The next three places in terms of transfer volume to Georgia are the United States, Germany and Greece. From these countries, the volume of money transfers increased by 29.4%, 16.6% and 16.6%, respectively. The amounts of transfers from these countries are $465.7 million, $220.0 million and $217.3 million, respectively.
