Indonesian citizen (WNI) in Thailand celebrates Eid al-Fitr Or eID 2025 today. The Indonesian citizens celebrated Lebaran with full warmth, although Bangkok was quite serious when the 7.7 earthquake shook Myanmar.
ID-prayers were held at Bangkok Indonesian School Field, Monday (31-3-2025) Morning. There are around 2,000 Indonesian people in Bangkok and surrounding areas that today participated in celebrating Eid Al -Fitr 1446 H.
The atmosphere in Bangkok itself began to have a normal earthquake on Friday 7.7 (3/28). Transport services and public activities have returned to normal, so that the Indonesian people are enthusiastic about celebrating eID.

In addition to the people in Indonesia, the eID celebration on the Indonesian embassy was also attended by a number of aliens who were family members of Indonesian citizens, including Malaysian, Pakistan, Lebanon, Portugal and Japan.
The EID AL -Fitr -celebration at the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok adopted the theme ‘Updating Takwa value in the realization of Islam as Rahmatan Lil Alamin’. In his comments, the Indonesian ambassador in Bangkok, Rachmat Budiman, said the earthquake that struck a few days ago, reminded people about being together and solidarity.

“That is why the EID AL -Fitr celebration is this time an important momentum to strengthen commitments to help each other, to share and strengthen each other,” he said in a written statement.
The Eid al -Fitr prayer was led by Ustaz Raji Luqya and Khotib Ustaz Iqbal Maulana Alfiansyah. Although it was rained, the people present continued to follow a series of activities. The community returned to the field after the prayer stopped for 5 minutes while the use of the rain stopped.
After prayer, the activity continued with friendship with the Indonesian people. They took the sports building of the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok, while enjoying typical eid al -Fitr dishes such as rice cake, godog -vegetables, rendang, fried chicken and potato fried chili sauce.
The Indonesian embassy in Bangkok also offers a number of Thai ice carts. The chairman of the Indonesian diaspora chapter Bangkok, Satrio, who is also one of the participants in gratitude, can continue to feel the excitement of Eid al -Fitr like in Indonesia, while in a country with the majority of the Buddhist supporters.
“It’s great to be able to celebrate the big day with the ambassador and the Indonesian people in the Indonesian embassy while staying in contact with colleagues, especially because there is also a typical eID dish,” he said.
Based on the report of the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok, there were 2,379 Indonesian citizens who live in Thailand. Until now, the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok has not received any reports from Indonesian citizens to be injured or victims in the earthquake disaster that damaged a number of buildings in Bangkok two days ago.
