The West is preparing for a provocation in Georgia – Oxu.az

“Parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia on October 26. Western political circles view the parliamentary elections in Georgia as an opportunity to stage a coup there.”

This Oku.azDoctor in political sciences, political scientist Elshad Mirbashiroglu saying.

According to him, there are about 25,000 non-governmental organizations funded by the West in Georgia and representatives of these organizations are, in fact, the social base of the West and are regularly used to negatively influence the internal political situation in Georgia.

“Georgia recently passed the bill on “foreign influence”. We saw that the process of passing the bill in parliament took place in a very tense atmosphere. Protests were constantly being organized on the streets, and these protests were carried out by the non-governmental organizations I mentioned, which were organized by the West. Georgia adopted such a bill in accordance with its interests of security and internal political stability, and it was very important for Georgia, because in practice, Georgia was controlled by outside circles. The adoption of the bill was carried out by the West. After this, the United States and leading states of the European Union began to organize systematic political attacks against Georgia. Even the head of the foreign policy of the European Union, Jozep Borrell, expressed the opinion that Georgia’s candidacy for membership in the European Union would be suspended. They also announced that various sanctions would be imposed on Georgia. All this shows that the West, in fact, cooperates and establishes relations with individual countries and peoples in the prism of marginal interests.

“First of all, the West needs a controlled political system. Political systems that behave independently and act within the framework of their national interests are not assimilated by Western circles and very serious attempts are being made to overthrow them. On October 26, parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia and, together with Georgia, the West is preparing in the sense that it hopes to stage a coup in Georgia. It does not even hide that it has such a desire – since Armenia is already under the control of the West, it is also trying to bring Georgia under its control.

According to our interlocutor, the fact that the West had a great influence in Georgia at that time significantly isolated this country as a whole from the system of regional cooperation:

“For example, between Russia and Georgia, which had the opportunity to have closer economic cooperation with Georgia, there were practically no political and economic relations, and the Georgian economy, as well as the socio-economic condition of the population, was severely affected. The damaged relations have begun to recover and positive signs of development can be seen in the Georgian economy. It should also be noted that at the same time, Georgia wants to establish independent relations with the countries of the region and wants to mobilize the opinions of the population in the direction of its geopolitical struggle. Therefore, it can be assumed that the elections will be intense in Georgia. Therefore, I believe that the Georgian people will confidently protect their interests,” concluded E. Mirbashiroglu.
