The winners of the individual competitions were determined at the national judo championship for women and men, organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan.
Oku.Az reports that at the championship held at the Baku Sports Palace, the winners of 14 weight categories among women and men were announced.
Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg), Khadija Gadashova (52 kg) and Azelya Toprak (57 kg) won gold medals in the women’s competition, while Murad Fatiyev (90 kg), Elmar Gasimov (100 kg) and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) won gold medals in the men’s competition there were athletes.
It should be noted that the team competitions of the championship will take place on December 1.
