The woman strangled by her ex-partner in a town in Segovia has died

He was prohibited from approaching the woman and communicating with her by any means, as announced by the Superior Court of Justice, after a complaint filed by her about a month ago. Which he failed to do.

In pre-trial detention, the man had already entered prison before his death as the alleged perpetrator of the offenses of attempted homicide and violation of a protection order. The Cuéllar Town Hall has declared three days of mourning.

With this woman, 38 people have now died as victims of gender-based violence this year in Spain. In Castile and León, two people lost their lives at the hands of their partner or ex-spouse.
