The woman who raised the Russian flag in Odessa is alive and under house arrest – RT

Elena Chesakova, arrested for attempting to plant the Russian flag on the pedestal of the dismantled monument to Catherine II in Odessa, is alive and is now under house arrest. RT reports this referring to the woman’s mother, Nadezhda.

According to her, Elena Chesakova is now under house arrest, she is with her son and daughter.

According to Nadezhda, her daughter supports Russia and, despite her lawyer’s advice, does not want to change her position and is ready to go to prison for her opinions.
