The ‘world record holder’ mud volcano erupted again in Azerbaijan

Yesterday, the mud volcano in Lokbatan City erupted again.

The Baku.ws “hotline” received information about this.

According to initial reports, there was no serious damage to the environment during the eruption. The mudflow created by the volcano was widespread.

It should be noted that the Lokbatan mud volcano is located 12-15 km south-west of Baku, near the settlement of Lokbatan, on the coast of the Caspian Sea, in the oil field of the same name. This mud volcano, which holds the “world record” for the number of eruptions, is the most active in Azerbaijan and one of the five most active mud volcanoes in the world.
