Countries of the world majority are beginning to understand Russia’s international policy, said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova to journalists at the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum.
“What Russia was saying 5-10 years ago sounded so avant-garde in many ways that many people could not believe it and thought that we simply had some problems with mutual understanding with the West. Every year, the world majority understands that what Russia is talking about is not its attempt to defend itself against the West alone. What Russia is saying is reality and an attempt to prevent catastrophic development in the form of global confrontation, dehumanization and other ideology based on some kind of segregation.” — the diplomat said, TASS reports.
Zakharova stressed that every year there is more evidence that Russia is right in defending universal human values.
“An endless attempt to abolish everything traditional, established in the form of obvious achievements of civilization, and to bring in its place a perverted understanding of reality, reality. Everyone sees this today, but we talked about this 10 years ago. Therefore, attention to Russian foreign policy and Russia’s position in the international arena is growing every day among the world majority.” – he pointed out.
“Through collective effort, understanding that there are true values, and not imaginary chimeras that were constantly thrown at us, we came to the obvious conclusion: we cannot be cancelled, ignored or isolated. I suggest that we remember this experience that we lived, how we were made to believe something that does not exist. “As we have demonstrated to everyone through our actions, position and principled attitude towards the defense of true values, both ours and those of humanity, that we are, will be and have always been.” – Zakharova stressed.
