The Ximenez Group will invest 18 million in changing its logistics and production plant in Puente Genil

Ximénez Group It presented this Thursday the construction of its new logistics center, located next to its headquarters in Puente Genil, on the A-304. This project, intended to centralize and coordinate the fleet of nearly 200 vehicles necessary for the group’s operations, responds to the company’s “increasing demand for efficiency”, the firm said.

The new center, already under construction, will have an industrial building of 10,000 meters squares designed according to the principles of sustainability and energy efficiency, and will include a structure and prefabricated insulating enclosures. Physical execution began last summer and will last eight months, i.e. in March 2025.

The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Industry of the Government of Andalusia, Jorge Paradelaaccompanied by the delegate of the Andalusian Government in Córdoba, Adolfo Molina, the territorial delegate of Industry, Agustín López, the mayor of Puente Genil, Sergio Velasco, the CEO of the Ximenez Group, Mariano Ximenez, and Enrique Malet, director of ‘Aipora, the construction company.

The new center is part of a more ambitious project to modernize and expand the group’s facilities, the total investment of which amounts to 18 million.

First with a warehouse and production platform of 36,000 square meters on an area of ​​85,000 square meters located in Aguilar de la Frontera. Furthermore, secondly, with the expansion and modernization of facilities which houses its headquarters.

The new logistics center integrates photovoltaic panels and electric charging stations, in addition to a efficient lighting. The area will have workshops for the maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet, parking for workers and a large green space.

Its implementation creates ten direct jobs and the consolidation of the current ones in the workforce, which, before Christmas, reaches more than 600 employees.

Councilor Jorge Paradela highlighted the “dynamism” of Córdoba with the example of Puente Genil, “a city that stands out for itsindustrial universityher great entrepreneurial capacity and that she makes a significant commitment to the local industry with attractive bonuses”, he underlined.

Mariano Ximénez highlighted the positive impact that this project will bring to the company’s operations. “It will allow us to respond even more effectively to the logistical challenges of our sector, by centralizing and optimizing fleet operations, strengthening our reactivity and improve the control of each project,” he said.
