The XXVII Miguel Delibes National Journalism Prize rewards Radio 5 Todo Noticias

The jury of the XXVIII edition of the Miguel Delibes National Journalism Prize, organized by the Valladolid Press Association (APV), decided this Friday to award the prize to the different works and radio formats of the Radio 5 Todo Noticias station , from RTVE. Corporation, which provide a snapshot of the station’s 30-year history on the air.

The application includes spaces broadcast between November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024, the period of this edition of the Prize, and which correspond to two main programs such as “A language without borders”presented by Ángela Núñez, and “Books of sand”, presented by Susana Santaolalla, broadcast on Radio 5 and Radio Exterior de España; and four microspaces (‘The palbrero’, presented by Juan Antonio Vázquez; ‘Letters in play’, with Juan Antonio Martínez Berbel; ‘Urgent Spanish with FundéuRAE’, by Esmeralda Antona and Javier Bezos; And ‘RAE informs’, presented by María del Río).

The jury’s minutes specify that this nomination was rewarded for “the variety of formats and the differentiation of style and content between them, the tireless commitment to the good use of Spanish, the enthusiasm for informative work and the love of words with a clear journalistic vocation, the aim of promoting our language through the radio medium and, from a technical point of view, the careful production of the different spaces.

This award, sponsored by Unicaja and which benefits from the collaboration of the Cortes de Castilla y León, the Provincial Deputation of Valladolid, Aliments de Valladolid, the City Hall of Valladolid, the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Valladolid and the European University Miguel de Cervantes is considered “unique in its field” since it rewards good use of the language in the media and is endowed with 6 000 euros.

In this edition, the jury met in the afternoon of this Friday, November 29 at Casa Zorrilla in Valladolid and was made up of the winner of the XXVII edition of the Prize, Mara Torres; journalists Juan Cruz and Antonio San José; the content director of Cadena SER de Castilla y León, Javier Cuevas; the director of News from Castilla y León-El Español, Silvia García; and Jesús Ángel García, from the Unicaja Communication Department, was also part of the jury; the president of the APV, Juan Martín, and the general secretary, Marta Álvarez, who participated with voice but without vote.
