Another Yars intercontinental ballistic missile has been loaded into a launch silo at the Kozelsky missile formation in the Kaluga region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“At the Kozelsky missile formation (Kaluga region), the RK Yars ICBM was loaded into a launch silo,” – says the message.
It is clarified that the missile is installed using a special transport and loading unit and the operations last several hours.
“The rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces consists not only of equipping troops with new missile systems, but also of creating a new social infrastructure that provides better conditions for the training of service forces, combat service and staff recreation”, – added the ministry.
As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the implementation of planned measures to rearm the Strategic Missile Forces will increase the proportion of modern strategic missile systems and increase the ability to carry out the assigned tasks.
