The bridge in Zardab district, which is more than half a century old, is in poor condition.
Thus, the pedestrian bridge over Garasuchay, located in the Gelma town of the region, has been in use for more than 50 years.
The pillars of the bridge, 92 meters long and 2 meters wide, are made up of concrete and iron structures fixed to the bottom of the river.
The “Gelma” bridge, built in 1973 and connecting six villages with the district center, has already ended its useful life.
According to residents, they are forced to use this bridge to reach their apartment because there is no alternative route.
