“There are no false complaints, there is a fanatical right whose job is to criminalize women”

Íñigo Errejón acted this Thursday and shook the chessboard. The former spokesperson for Sumar presented an appeal to the Provincial Court of Madrid where he assures that the complaint filed by the actress Elisa Mouliaá in which accuses him of sexual assault This is “false”. The former politician believes that there is a “clear lack of content” in the interpreter’s assertions and that she acted in a “fraudulent” manner.

However, in 2020, Errejón wrote on his X account (then Twitter): “There are no false complaints“There is a fanatical right whose role is to criminalize women.” An opinion similar to those he has expressed on numerous occasions.

In this message, the former parliamentary spokesperson mentioned the “gender-based violence” and he assured: “That something is ‘politicized’ means that we put passions, expectations and discussions between values into it.” “Several decades ago, gender-based violence was not an issue in the media and in parliaments, it happened silently. What is not politicized is not discussed and, therefore, cannot be changed,” he said at the time.

Errejón says Mouliaá’s accusation is ‘false’

A few weeks ago, Sumar’s management affirmed that Errejón had confirmed the facts with which he was accused. The former MP also declared in his resignation letter that he had reached “the limit of the contradiction between character and person” and that the political front had worn out his “mental health” and his “affective and emotional structure” . Despite this, he now claims that Mouliaá’s complaint is “false” and wants to be able to declare as soon as possible.

This Thursday, his lawyer stressed “being able to offer the corresponding explanations before the judicial body and expose the reality of the factswhich are far from those described by Mouliaá in his false complaint.

After these words, the actress said that although she was “quite shocked”, she was “very sure of what happened”. “I could have said something else, but that’s what happened. I was at his house and He attacked me three times; I have witnesses“, he insisted.

Mouliaá also pointed out that there are other women to whom Errejón did “worse things.” “He denigrated them, humiliated them and he did terrible things and without any empathy,” he stressed. According to the actress, “I followed the same pattern with each of them.”
