The Council awards 26 prizes to the educational community on the occasion of Teaching Day
The Government of Castile-La Mancha will award 26 prizes during Teaching Day 2024. This was highlighted by the spokesperson for the Regional Executive, Esther Padilla, who began by highlighting the role of public education, “which is the raw material of a society. ” In this sense, he emphasized the fact that the Commission “will not stop strengthening the education system”, which implies providing it with resources, but also “dignifying the work” of those who dedicate their lives both in teaching and supporting students in all their needs.
Likewise, Padilla stressed the need to recognize the effort and enthusiasm of students, because education should not be just “a step to complete”, but rather “a journey that connects them with their interests”, in during which they can develop fully. . their abilities. For all this, he emphasized that “these awards are a sign of respect and gratitude to the educational community of Castile-La Mancha, which gives its all to learning and teaching.”
The categories of these awards are distributed between educational centers, students, teachers, administrative staff and entities, as well as a special mention, which will be received both by the León Felipe de Socovos Public School and by Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Letur for the work carried out in the days following the passage of DANA.
In the category of educational centers, recognitions will be given to the Diocesan School of Albacete, to the IES ‘Bernardo de Balbuena’ of Valdepeñas, to the CRA ‘Camino Real de Levante’ of Graja de Iniesta, to the CEIP ‘Clara Sánchez ‘ from Galapagos. and the CEIP ‘Fray Hernando’ from Talavera de la Reina.
In the student category, the prizes will be awarded to Inés Sánchez, from CEIP “Nuestra Señora del Rosario” of Hellín; Daniela Hernán, of the IES “Pedro Álvarez Sotomayor” of Manzanares; Hadiya Sokhona, from CEPA “Río Sorbe”, in Guadalajara; Andrea Barrios, Claudia de los Santos, Izan Ming, Natalia Real, Helena Santoyo, Miguel Pinedo and Jimena del Rosario Rafael, from the CEE “Infanta Elena” of Cuenca; and Laura and Silvia Santan Corrales, of the “San Antonio” school in Yeles.
For its part, in the category of teaching staff, those recognized are Javier Julián Gil, from the CEIP “Our Lady of the Assumption” of Letur; Hernán Milla, from the “Marcos Redondo” conservatory in Ciudad Real; Juan José Sanz, of the IES “Fernando de los Ríos” in Quintanar del Rey; Laura Quiles, from the educational office of the Guadalajara Museum; and Jesús García, from the IES ‘Azarquiel’ of Toledo.
Likewise, the work of non-teaching staff will also be recognized during this gala, rewarding in this case Pilar González, from the school residence of the IES “Universidad Laboral” in Albacete; María José Palomo, from the “Luis Vives” school in Piedrabuena; Francisco Almansa, from the “Hermenegildo Moreno” school in Villanueva de la Jara; to Luisi Leoncio, from the “Maestra Plácida” school in Azuqueca de Henares; and María Concepción Bartado, from the “Rosa Parks” school in Toledo.
Finally, there will also be space during the gala to reward the work of entities such as the Thalita Association of Albacete; the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Ciudad Real; the Provincial Group of Electrical Installers of Cuenca; Toni Fernández, of Ferrovial Construction; and to the AMPA of the “Europa” school in the city of Toledo, “all linked to their work and contribution to the educational community and education of Castile-La Mancha”.
