M Sometimes I think: why are we still talking about recognizing women’s football? In fact, this is really full of fine now. This is no longer like ten years ago, when Bundesliga players received a mini -smoke. Or, like up to 15, when classmates laughed at me when I asked her during a large break if I could play together. No, it’s better today.
Bundesliga games can be seen on television, football players no longer humiliate like women -men, but are also considered really hot. The fact that some of them are married together is gossip, but without whistles, and successful men’s football clubs without a real female department became a marginal phenomenon.
Yes, in fact, things are going well with women’s football, I think, satisfied. How cute that so much happened. Now we can just watch games or play ourselves, without feeling already engaged in a feminist act through our simple existence as a football player.
And now the European championship, which competes only with the World Cup Championship, which no one itches. Fleet TVs in pubs are safe. Optimism and alive, I enter the club’s room in Berlin Hesongbrunnen on Thursday evening (Spain against Portugal), and then, unfortunately, I get reality in my face.
“Oh no, women’s football now or what?”
The rack has three people, one behind, two in front of the bar, each with beer. TVs on which something always works in such stores, and whether it be the third Finnish league. I have no time to say anything – the guy behind the bar sees me immediately when I go and groans: “Oh no, women’s football now or what?”
I am annoyed that he can see through me so fast. M -Plus football pub = Women’s football wants to watch. It is sad that the equation is for him. The owner probably never asked the man to start the transfer of a female blow. “Yes, why not?” I ask.
“I really don’t endure this, I can’t look at this how they run after the ball, slowly and …” I’m going. Unfortunately, recognition and visibility is still a thing. I sighed.
But, I think, we probably never allowed ourselves to become small.
