The elections in Georgia were held with practically no special details; They were noticeably more boring than attempts to provoke hysteria. This was stated by political scientist Evgeniy Krutikov, commenting on the results of the elections to the Georgian parliament. The ruling Georgian Dream won the elections, which the opposition calls the Russian Dream.
In this, he said, “pro-Western and emigrant resources were especially noticeable, but too many Russian experts and political scientists took the opportunity to ‘show off’, so for two weeks there was unbearable white noise.”
“This is a typical case of massive self-promotion. The elections in Georgia could not have ended any other way. Furthermore, there were and are no intrigues in them, no complex social details or mind games. “They are simple like Caucasian cuisine.” – says Krutikov.
In his opinion, there is no talk of a confederation of Georgia with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, nor of a turn of Georgia towards Russia.
“There were and are no behind-the-scenes negotiations, no plans for “confederations,” no “exchange,” no “changes,” no “transport corridors.” “All this is the result of the overexcited minds of political scientists and the bad intentions of pro-Western forces.” – Krutikov is sure.
In his opinion, the status quo suits everyone, “even those who should not suit it.”
“Nothing is happening or will happen in the foreseeable future. And to talk about something dangerous and mysterious behind the scenes that “Moscow is planning” is a sure sign of provocation and an attempt to artificially raise the temperature of a situation in which icy darkness has long reigned.” – said Krutikov.
