A breakdown in Madrid’s railway facilities has forced interrupt the Cercanías service between Atocha and Chamartín stationsin both directions. Following this situation, the usual line routes are modified C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-7, C-8 and C-10.
Traffic problems have been occurring since early Wednesday morning. Cercanías first reported on its social media account X (formerly Twitter) at 5:19 a.m..

He then clarified that the trains from Móstoles-El Soto (line C-5) end their journey at Embajadores station. In turn, those that leave from Humanes end their route at Atocha.
The breakdown specifically affects the line C-1which connects Príncipe Pío to Terminal 4 of Barajas Airport. Also at C-2 (Guadalajara – Chamartín), C-3 (Aranjuez – Chamartín), C-4 (Atocha-Cantoblanco), C-7 (Alcalá de Henares – Príncipe Pío), C-8 (Guadalajara-Cercedilla) and C-10 (Collado Villalba – T4 from Barajas Airport).
Traffic between Atocha and Nuevos Ministerios and between Atocha and Embajadores, in the suburban hub of Madrid, is interrupted due to a lack of tension in the catenary.
Adif staff are already working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

For his part, the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF) reported through the same social network as the traffic between Atocha and Nuevos Ministerios and between Atocha and Embajadores is interrupted by a “lack of tension in the catenary”. “Adif staff are already working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” they said.
