The bad weather leaves no respite on the Mediterranean coast. AEMET has just raised the yellow notice to the orange level which had been activated for this Wednesday in the province of Malaga due to the strong possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
According to forecasts, they could accumulate more than 80 millimeters in just 12 hours all day Wednesday, with more water expected in the second part of the day. It therefore seems that instability will continue Thursday November 14. The warning is activated in regions of Guadalhorce Valley, the main area of Malaga affected by DANA at the end of October; the Costa del Sol and Axarquia. It will begin this Wednesday at three a.m. and will end, for now, at noon.
The alert will be activated on Wednesday at six a.m. and will last until midnight, although everything indicates that this alert will be extended. “At the end comes a new DANA of isolated cold mass which can leave intense precipitation in the province on Wednesday and Thursday”, indicates Jesús Riesco, director of the Malaga Meteorological Center, who recognizes that a few days ago the forecasts indicated that this DANA was heading towards the eastern part of the Mediterranean, almost without affecting the peninsula. The situation has changed in recent hours, confirming that this will be felt and that the situation is potentially unfavorable.
For Wednesday, a marked drop in temperatures. From the estimated maximum of 22 degrees for this Tuesday, it could rise to around 17 maximum on Wednesday. The thermometer will rise again on Thursday.
