The Valencia Civil Guard is investigating a man who sacrificed his 14-year-old dog on his land, without the required veterinary report.
Apparently, the Civil Guard agents received information warning them that a man he allegedly killed his dog by suffocationwith a rope, on his own land in a Valencian town, as reported this Thursday by the Armed Institute in a press release.
After taking appropriate action, the officers verified that the reported events were true and the person responsible for the event was therefore identified.
The author, informed by the Civil Guards that this behavior could constitute a crime, said that he did it to “avoid further suffering“to the bitch.
The agents verified the existence of an animal buried in this same plot which corresponded to the specimen reported.
Furthermore, the person investigated stated that he was unaware that this action could constitute a crime. He is a 37-year-old man of Spanish nationality..
After this event, the Civil Guard recalled that the euthanasia of animals must be assessed by a veterinary report specifying that the death of the animal is caused for the sole purpose of avoiding suffering due to irreparable causes that seriously compromise the quality of life of the animal.
This report must be issued by a licensed veterinary professional.
