The Civil Guard arrested a man accused of killing another in an abandoned facility in the town of Torrevieja, Alicante, and he hid his body in another area, as the Armed Institute reported in a statement.
The arrested person, a resident of the municipality, entered in pre-trial detention without bail by order of local investigating court number 2.
The investigation began last Sunday, when officers received information about a possible homicide that allegedly occurred on Thursday of the previous week.
According to this information, the crime took place after an argument between two men. inside an abandoned facility in Torrevieja and, later, the perpetrator allegedly moved the body to the Eras de la Sal compound to hide it.
A patrol from the Torrevieja Main Post went to the indicated location, where they found traces of blood and later the body of the victim, who was covered with a wooden board and a stone.
Several members of the territorial team of the Torrevieja Judicial Police took over the investigation. During the first inspection of the site, they collected various evidence which is currently being analyzed.
At the same time, the agents took steps which allowed the identification of the alleged murderera man known to the Civil Guard due to his history of crimes against property.
The information was shared with all patrols in the district, which made it possible to arrest the suspect29 years old, while he was walking in the urban area of the town, a few hours after the start of the investigations.
The operation benefited from the support of the Main Station of Torrevieja, the Criminalistics Laboratory, the Homicide Group of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of Alicante and the Local Police of Torrevieja.
