Another young man who evaded military service in Azerbaijan was found criminally responsible.
“Qafqazinfo” reports that the incident took place in Agsu district.
According to the ruling of the Agsu District Court on November 15, a resident of the district, Hasan Ahmadov, born in 2006 (surname condition), was sentenced to 4 months in prison. He was found guilty under article 21.1 of the Penal Code (refusal to perform military service).
During the investigations it became known that in April 2024, the Agsu district branch of the State Mobilization and Conscription Service sent H. Ahmadov a summons to go to military service. During a medical examination, a tattoo with the words “DATA” was discovered on his chest. In this regard, he was sent to the Mingachevir interregional psychoneurological dispensary. During the examinations carried out here, it was determined that the 18-year-old young man is suitable for military service and has no psychological problems.
Hasan Ahmadov was subsequently sent to the military unit. However, he was returned due to suspicion of spinal scoliosis. This time, employees of the Agsu district branch of the National Health Service of Ukraine took him to the Baku hospital and examined him. Also in this case an opinion was issued on the suitability of the recruit for actual military service. After that, the police station staff summoned him for active military service and told him to be at the military unit on April 30.
On April 29, when service employees contacted H. Ahmadov by telephone, he said that he had cut his arms with a razor, that he was covered in blood and that he did not want to go to military service.
In this regard, the young man was re-examined and cuts were found on his arm.
The service turned to the prosecutor’s office and a criminal case was initiated.
It should be noted that a few days ago Ramin Osmanov, 19 years old (name withheld), was arrested for refusing to serve in two consecutive calls.
