THE asphalt work on several city streets they are going affect traffic next week. This Monday, the works on avenue de Zaragozain the section between Río Queiles and Sangüesa streets, towards the entrance to the city; and on Tuesday the 12th, Paving will begin in both directions of Íñigo Arista Streetbetween Pedro I and Serafín Olave streets, with the exception of the Iturrama roundabout.

The start of both works is planned for early in the morning and will have consequences on traffic. Road traffic will be cutwith progressive openings in sections, until the end of Friday the 15th.

Pamplona Municipal Police recommends to citizens prepare personal trips in advance taking into account the reductions and gaps planned in the two interventions.

Furthermore, in both cases some lines are affected villavesasday and night (L5, L11, L16, L2 and L19/ N3 and N1) with stop cancellations, it is therefore recommended that people who follow these routes themselves pay attention to the signs placed at the stops and consult advice from the Commonwealth of Pamplona Region.

The work in these two spaces is joined, also from Monday, by the intervention to improve mobility and accessibility in Abejeras Street, where, in addition to improving the asphalt, improvements will be made to the cycle path, pedestrian crossings and public transport. In this case, traffic will still be open to traffic during the works, but it will be slow and with moments of congestion.

THE Pamplona City Hall paving campaign has already invested 1,285,881.09 euros in eight different stocks. In addition to the paving of Íñigo Arista and Zaragoza Avenue, Plaza de los Fueros, Esquiroz Street, Azpilagaña Ronda, Villava Avenue, Barañáin Avenue and Alfonso el Batallador Street were paved.

Three asphalt roads budgeted at 538,879 euros

THE main representation on Zaragoza Avenuewith a budget of 208,094.11 euros, consists of milling the agglomerate layer that forms the sidewalk and its replacement, a complete section of the entrance direction, plus the complete replacement of the sidewalk in the entire section that is going to be paved, in the central area of ​​the road. It is therefore necessary to reduce traffic on both lanes.

More precisely in the Entrance to Pamplona via Zaragoza AvenueThe municipal police recommend taking a detour via Sadar Street towards Catalunya Avenue or Navarra Avenue. In the Zaragoza Avenue / Pablo Antoñana area it will not be possible to travel towards the city center, but a mandatory detour will be made towards Ronda Azpilagaña or Pablo Antoñana. Likewise, it will not be possible to travel towards the city center on Jimeno Jurío, Riío Ultzama, Río Queliles and Mochuelo streets.

From the four days of work planned on Iñigo Arista Streettwo will be devoted to paving and two others to road marking and surfacing to reinforce the current surface. These works, with an investment of 178,600 euros, will generate progressive reductions in traffic in the action sections, from 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday 12, the date on which the roundabout concerned will be cut off. In addition, there will be detours in urban transport.

Finally, in Abejeras Street, the works include paving between the roundabout at the intersection with Iturrama Street and the intersection with Zaragoza Avenue, the expansion of the cycle path and the construction of advanced sidewalks and the improvement of TUC stops, for an amount of 152,785 .63 euros. From Monday until the end of the work, the entire parking strip on the right side, towards the city center, will be removed. Loading and unloading are maintained during the work and will be relocated to the left bank once completed.

TRAFFIC CUTS FOR ASPHALT WORK

Below you can see all the traffic effects due to the works:

  • Zaragoza Avenue, towards the entrance, between Río Queiles and Sangüesa streets: from Monday 11 at 6 a.m., until Friday 15 at 7 p.m.
    • Zaragoza / Sadar Avenue: it will not be possible to travel towards the city center and traffic will have to be diverted either towards Sadar Street or Navarra Avenue
    • Zaragoza Avenue / Pablo Antoñana: it will not be possible to travel towards the city center and traffic will have to be diverted towards Ronda Azpilagaña or Pablo Antoñana
    • Zaragoza Avenue / Jimeno Jurío: it will not be possible to travel to the city center
    • Zaragoza Avenue / Río Ultzama: it will not be possible to travel to the city center
    • Zaragoza / Mochuelo Avenue: it will not be possible to travel to the city center
    • Zaragoza Avenue / Río Queiles: it will not be possible to travel towards the city center and traffic will have to be diverted towards Río Queiles or Buenaventura Iñiguez
  • Íñigo Arista Street, in both directions, between Pedro I and Serafín Olave Streets (except Iturrama roundabout): from Tuesday 12 at 6 a.m. to Friday 15 at 9 p.m.
    • Iñigo Arista / Iturrama: both directions of traffic from Iñigo Arista to Serafín Olave.
    • Serafín Olave / Iñigo Arista: both directions of traffic from Iñigo Arista towards Iturrama, affecting the roundabout for 1 day
    • Iñigo Arista / Iturrama: the two directions towards Pedro I
    • Iñigo Arista / Pedro I: the two directions towards Iturrama
