The Civil Guard of Calvià arrested a young Majorcan, sentenced to prison, accused of one crime of attempted homicide and another of injury for his alleged involvement in several violent attacks against homosexuals on the beach known as Mago de Calvià.

The incident happened when the couple decided to walk along a path to take pictures of the surroundings. Then, the man surprised them and, without saying a word, hit the victim in the back of the headwhich caused him to fall from a slope about ten meters high. While playing, he suffered injuries for which he had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
The researchers, after analyzing the patterns of aggression and witness statements and carrying out an exhaustive analysis of the people and vehicles that accessed this beach, They managed to connect the two attackswhile identifying in them a clear component of hatred towards the homosexual community.
The arrest took place at his home and was then transferred to the headquarters of the Civil Guard in Calvià, where police procedures were carried out.
The judge on duty ordered his entry into preventive detention without bailaccused of one crime of attempted homicide and another of injury.
