The Civil Guard, as part of an operation against drug trafficking carried out on the occasion of the patronal festivals of the city of Alicante Callosa d’en Sarriàdismantled two drug distribution points.
La Benemérita arrested two people and seized more than 300 plants of drugapproximately 70 kilograms of this substance intended for distribution and materials related to drug cultivation and trafficking.
In the first phase, the Civil Guard of Callosa d’en Sarrià, thanks to citizen collaboration and the support of the Local Police, became aware of the location of a marijuana plantation, which was located in an isolated part of the municipality.
On October 4, investigators carried out the operation, arresting a suspect, a 30-year-old Spaniard, and searching the home, where agents found both a indoor planting like another exterior. During the searches, more than 320 Cannabis Sativa plants were found, 68.27 kilograms of marijuana packaged and ready for sale, as well as 500 euros in cash in 20 and 50 euro notes. In addition, material used for cultivation was intervened, such asheating lamps, extractors, specific fertilizersprecision scales, packaging materials and other utensils.
According to the Civil Guard, on October 5, in a second phase of the operation, agents dismantled a second drug sales point located in the urban area of Callosa d’en Sarrià. After searching the house, a 41-year-old man of Colombian nationality was arrested and a kilo of marijuana prepared for sale and distribution was seized.

Finally, the two detainees, accused of the crime of drug trafficking, as well as the evidence, were made available to the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Villajoyosa, which decreed their release with the imposition of precautionary measures.
