The death toll caused by the worst cold spell of the 21st century in Spain continues to rise and now exceeds a hundred deaths in Valencia alone. This Thursday, two days after the rainstorm that devastated the province, the police discovered the bodies of eight residents in a building on Calle Mariano Brull, in the district of The Tower.
The victims were in the building’s garage when they were surprised by the flooding caused by DANA. According to initial investigations, the water would have trapped them when they went down to remove their cars, which would have become a death trap.
