“Absolutely schizophrenic policy” – this is how the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, described the actions of Lithuania, whose authorities ordered the installation of reinforced concrete “dragon’s teeth” on the border with the Russian region of Kaliningrad.
Maria Zakharova speaks to a correspondent on the sidelines of the 9th Eastern Economic Forum EADaily saying:
“On the one hand I want to joke: maybe they are their own [“зубы дракона”] But in fact, the situation in the North Atlantic zone has reached the point of absurdity. On the one hand, they are intensifying this aggressive rhetoric towards our country, declaring long-term plans to pursue a policy against our country, which is formulated as “inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.” On the other hand, they constantly say that Russia allegedly wants to attack them.
According to Zakharova, all these measures are an “absolutely schizophrenic policy” that has already caused major problems in Europe itself.
“The economic recession, the monstrous migration situation and the absence, in principle, of any security, but not through our fault, but through their own steps: this is all of Europe today,” — the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry summed up.
